Mindful at Work

Corporate interest in mindfulness has grown dramatically over the last few years. Long established companies from International banks, insurance companies, technology, pharmaceuticals and healthcare organizations are all embracing programs that provide mindfulness training for their people.

This interactive session will explore and clarify the concept of mindfulness. A strong evidence-base has developed in the past 30 years for the use of mindfulness skills to manage distress, support well-being, and to enhance productivity while promoting a culture of engagement, collaboration and innovation. The proven benefits of mindfulness will be discussed as well as the range of applications for mindfulness approaches in the workplace today. The session will highlight the current research in neurobiology as it relates to mindfulness, productivity, and well-being. The workshop will also focus on how this deeply personal practice of mindfulness does in fact lead to a greater understanding of others, supporting communication, collaboration and healthier work environments overall.

  • A range of mindfulness techniques and the opportunity to engage in multiple mindfulness practices
