Mindset Matters for Enhanced Resilience

Organizations today are recognizing both the extraordinary challenges and opportunities facing them. This session focuses on mindset and resilient ways of thinking or mental toughness. Mindset: “a set of beliefs or a way of thinking that determines one’s behavior, outlook and mental attitude.” Researchers discuss Growth vs. Fixed mindsets and how this impacts us personally and professionally. People with a fixed mindset believe their abilities are established and can’t change much regardless of how hard they try. Those with a growth mindset know that they can learn and grow if they invest enough effort. Research has found that mindsets are teachable and can be developed over time. It is not simply a matter of “you either have it or you don’t.”

In this session, Marla guides participants through a series of reflective and interactive exercises, combining the science of mindset research with practical applications. Participants will learn 5 essential mindsets for 2022 and beyond. In addition, participants will design a roadmap to support their own thrive mindset as well as tips to support a team thrive mindset going forward.

In this session participants will:

  • Understand the neuroscience behind how we think, learn, and behave – and why it matters
  • Identify strategies to re-wire one’s thinking patterns for increased effectiveness and results
  • Learn the benefits of five different mindsets and develop a roadmap to support one’s personal thrive mindset
  • Support one’s team in strengthening a ‘team thrive mindset’ during transition and challenging times
